What is your dream job?
By Kirsten Plotkin
For me it is very simple. I love my job. I love the fact that I'm my own boss, I answer to nobody and nobody tells me what to do. My job is my business and I have designed it to fit me to perfection. Sure, it wasn't always perfect. I had a period, quite a while actually when I didn't know what I was doing, literally. I hung around for a while hoping someone would tell me, but when that didn't happen I bought a couple of products and went to work. Well, I called it work. You see, I thought I was an internet marketer, but if I was, I was a very bad one. I spent a lot of money to learn that I didn't know anything. What I did learn was that marketing, as in advertising and promotions, well I just wasn't good at it. You know what they say; know your weaknesses, I'm not sure how the rest goes but I hung in there to find out what they were and to learn what I could. In time I realized something very very important. Whatever you do on the internet it really all comes back to just one thing...writing. Writing is probably ninety percent of any internet marketer's work and most of them don't like it. It just so happens, I love to write, always have, since I was a little kid. This was a realization that was to change everything. So what did I do? I wrote a book. Not just any book, I wrote about an actual discovery I had made five years earlier. I had suffered with type2 diabetes for a long time and my doctor made it clear that I was heading for big trouble unless I lost some weight. I had been down that diet road a few times before and the only benefit I had ever had from that was a brief loss of weight, followed by a quick return of all the weight, with just that bit extra after each diet. This left me with a lot of excess weight and a deep conviction that 'Diets never Work'. I'm a dedicated reader as well as a writer, so I started a project which I called 'Find a way to lose weight permanently, without a diet'. I never expected to find it, I already assumed it was impossible. I mean someone would have discovered it by now, wouldn't they? Well, no! It was luck, or rather an epiphany. It was a simple, beautiful solution which would have been overlooked by a studious Scientist or Physician for it's simplicity alone. I should also mention that a permanent solution to weight problems and obesity means of course, the weight never goes back on again. Funny how that seems to elude the diet Guru's who use the term loosely. In any case, the discovery of a cure to permanent weight loss is probably not what the big, powerful diet industry have been waiting for. So, five years ago, having just made my discovery, I realized no one would listen to me. Yet, five years later, with a book full of facts and proof, it's a whole different story. I have been slim for almost five years and what surprises my doctor even more than me, is that all my symptoms of type2 diabetes have gone.. completely. So getting back to my favorite job, I'm kinda back to square one. I have an internet product, my book, and to do it justice I have to advertise and promote it. We all know I'm not very good at that. Fortunately, quite a few people have been keen to help me get it off the ground. They feel as I do, that this is too important to sixty percent of of the population who are now overweight. So keep an eye out for My Own Plan, That's what I called it. Not very very original I know, but true to the spirit of the book.

Contributor's Note
Kirsten Plotkin is the author of a new book called My Own Plan. It deals with a discovery she made five years ago which led to a permanent solution to her weight problem. The book explains how we have gone from a vast majority of slim people, thirty years ago, to sixty percent of overweight people today. Kirsten has based the book on five years personal research and experience, using herself as a test case. The book proves how you can get permanent weight loss, without a diet, without exercise and without hunger pains. Website: http://www.my-own-plan.com Email: kirstenplotkin@my-own-plan.com
